  1. connect a serial cable to er serial port from the switch & pc, open a serial communication program with folling settings: 9600 8n1 and none flow control.
  2. on power up pres the b button.
  3. Enter on the prompt no password you cant abbr.
  4. Enter on the prompt "'boot system flash primary'".
  5. Enter on the prompt enable
  6. Enter on the prompt configure terminal
  7. Enter on the prompt enable super-user-pasword password
  8. Enter on the prompt enable port-config-pasword password
  9. Enter on the prompt enable read-only-pasword password
  10. write memory # to save the settings
