What

Trying to build an Arduino MIDI controller for controlling the Expert Sleepers FH-1 Eurorack module.

Hardware

  • Funduino Arduino Uno R3 clone
  • Joystick Shield (marked as V1.A)
  • Breakout board with SSD1306 I2C OLED screen (address 0x3C)
  • Toggle switch

Software

16U2 firmware

The USB to serial chip on this Funduino board is actually a ATmega16U2 microcontroller. It is possible to reprogram this to act as a USB MIDI -> serial bridge. Details about which firmware I used will follow. I soldered on a toggle switch to switch between MIDI mode and normal mode (to upload new sketches).
