What

A study and try-out of the current available techniques for propelling bikes with electricity. This has nothing to do with my lack of car :)

Basically I want to convert a normal bike to a nice electric one, and aim to find the cheapest/easiest/most current way to do so.

Features that would be nais :

  • Regenerative braking
  • Cruise Control
  • Rear wheel propulsion, bike trailer ready
  • Gears :)

Not much in the case of innovation, but a fun project and something not many people consider to be an option.

Buildlog

Ordered a conversion kit, almost the cheapest i could find :)

Scored a free BMX to start, and looking at (cheap chinese) parts to order.
