It has a TYWE3S board which is some kind of ESP, possibly ESP-12. There is also another MCU, which supposedly reads the PIR and starts the ESP when motion is detected.

LSC Smart PIR thingie from Melan, i think this one. It does not have the original firmware anymore, so we will try to flash it manually.

Info gathering

Just like the LSC doorsensor it has a TYWE3S board which is some kind of ESP8266, possibly ESP-12. There is also another MCU, which supposedly reads the PIR and powers the ESP when motion is detected, see this post. It is very similar to this thing. This device also has the TYWE3S.

Important snippet from this discussion: yes. you need to ground RST, GPIO0 to start. after 3 seconds release RST. after another 3 seconds, release gpio0.


We also might need to GND pin on the other MCU to disable it, see previous link and here.

Info from Tuya, the manufacturer can be found here. Somehow also info on another board (TYWE2L) got into this page @ chapter 6, so it's kind of a mess.
