The lights can be operated on #nurds using the following commands:
* RGB5
* !ziza - Turn off TL tubes.
* RGB6
* !aziz - Turn on TL tubes.
*A 120 ohm resistor is used as termination between pins 2 and 3.

Introduction

This is a beginning entry dedicated to the light setup in Diedenoort-NURDSpace. Original configuration: The three wall switches by the front door operate, from left to right: The ventilation The right-hand bank of lights (with back to door) including the 3 on the hook around the corner The left hand bank of lights

Current configuration

  • The left hand switch is for the single emergency light on the left closest to the door.
  • The right hand switch does nothing.
  • The fluorescent bulbs are connected together into 4 numbered groups:
    1. The 6 in the dead centre of the space
    2. The 2 over the printer desks (currently disabled)
    3. The 3 over the desks at the far windows
    4. The 5 closest to the door, on the near side of the I-beam, excluding the emergency light (only 2 of them are currently working).

These 4 channels are plugged into the lighting controller suspended in a white iron grid from the ceiling. This is plugged into a ceiling socket on a ? electrical group.

DMX

The DMX devices are controlled by the LanBox. DMX channels used:

  • Channels 1-6: node 0
  • Channels 7-12: node 1
  • Channels 13-18: node 2
  • Channels 19-24: node 3
  • Channels 25-30: node 4
  • Channels 31-36: node 5
  • Channels 37-42: node 6
  • Channels 43-48: node 7
  • Channels 49-54: node 8
