The meshcore repeater node hosted at the space.
The plan is to upgrade it
Antenna todo
- See if we can get the current antenna higher
- Replace antenna cabling to be shorter and/or thicker
Node upgrade
Right now it's running on a t-beam 1.1, would upgrading it make sense? For example, https://www.tinytronics.nl/nl/development-boards/microcontroller-boards/met-lora/heltec-wireless-stick-lite-v3-lora-868mhz-esp32-s3-sx1262
To decrease the distance and thus loss from the radio to the antenna itself, the idea is to place the node outside on the antenna pole.
Possible outdoor housings:
(will have to figure out how to mount it to the pole)
Parts we already have:
- BME280, to measure condition inside the enclosure
- INA3221, to measure power draw from battery/solar/etc
- 3.7v 4000mah battery, do we need better? is this battery still good?
- 12v solar panel (aetios)
- solar charger thingy (folkert)
- Lilygo T-beam v1.1, do we want to upgrade?
