We have several radio dishes and SDRs at the space, now it would be fun if we could use one of them as a radio telescope, possibly as a permanent and movable installation on the roof!?

My initial idea would be to create a 'drift' type of radio telescope, so that we don't have to mess with tracking.

We could aim it at the ecliptic, which is the plane the moon, sun and planets move in (the moon actually differs a bit).

Or aim it at the zenith. Hooowever in that case rain water might collect in the dish ;)
