Also referred to as CoC.
- Be nice to each other, make sure that no-one feels unsafe by you or what you do in NURDspace
- Respect other peoples wishes to not be recorded. Among others, this applies to pictures/videos/audio but also to AI (LLMs/neural networks).
- Do not discriminate in any way or form. We follow the 1st article of the Dutch Constitution:
All persons in the Netherlands shall be treated equally in equal circumstances. Discrimination on the grounds of religion, belief, political opinion, race or sex or on any other grounds whatsoever shall not be permitted.
- We are a hackerspace. "Hacking" is not Cracking. We keep our actions within the boundaries set by the Dutch law.
- Do not disclose projects that people in NURDspace work on unless they've given permission.
- Bringing friends along is great! But make sure they obey the NURDspace code of conduct - this also applies to your dog, goldfish, or other pets.
- If there's a "(please) do not hack/modify" marker on anything in the space, then do not tinker with that object. This includes NURDspace infrastructure. This marker shall also contain the (user)name of the person responsible for it.
- Do not use other members property without their permission. This includes the personal items in members their drawers.
- If you are unsure as to ownership of something or whether to dispose of something, ask first.
- Leave the space in better/cleaner condition than you found it. Small improvements add up.
- We maintain a Do-ocraty. If you think something should be done, do it. But keep within the boundaries of the CoC.
- If you notice something that does not comply with the CoC, try to handle it yourself if you feel able to. If not, contact a board member to get the issue resolved.
- For issues escalated to the board, the board will decide how to act on a case by case basis. Penalties can be anything from a warning to cancellation of membership and includes contacting law enforcement if this is deemed required.
